About Us

The NCC Army Wing at SPIHER is committed to shaping responsible, disciplined, and confident young citizens by instilling the core values of character, leadership, national integration, and selfless service. Under the guidance of trained officers, including the Care Taker Officer, cadets undergo regular drill sessions, weapon training, and theoretical classes designed to enhance both physical and mental strength.

The unit actively participates in camps such as CATC, NIC, and RDC, along with institutional and national-level events including Republic Day celebrations and inter-collegiate competitions. Cadets also gain exposure through visits to prestigious institutions like the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.

Beyond military training, SPIHER NCC emphasizes community engagement through social service initiatives, environmental activities, and awareness programs such as the Drug-Free Tamil Nadu Mission. These experiences help cadets build teamwork, communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility towards society.
