On the occasion of World Civil Defence Day on 1 March 2026, NCC cadets of 1 TN Signal Company NCC from SPIHER conducted an awareness programme at Vailankanni Matriculation Higher Secondary School. First-year SD and SW cadets delivered speeches on civil defence and disaster preparedness and led an oath-taking ceremony for the school students. The programme was organized in line with the 2026 theme “Managing Environmental Risks for a Resilient and Sustainable Future,” creating awareness about environmental protection and community safety.
