Seminar on Recent Trends in Nanotechnology was organized by the Centre for Nanotechnology, St. Peter’s University, Chennai, on 23rd March 2015 at 10.30 A.M. The objective of this seminar is to provide a scientific platform for the young budding scientists to showcase their project works and to motivate them towards this relatively new area of technology.
The programme started with invocation. Dr. Sayeeda Sultana, Convenor of the seminar, welcomed the gathering. Dr. D. S. Ramachandra Murthy, Vice Chancellor spoke on the importance of Nanotechnology in applied sciences and Engineering, which was absorbing and encouraging to students.
Dr. L. Mahesh Kumar, Director (Academic) told about the application of Nanotechnology in various fields. Special Lecture was given by Dr. A. Thangaraja, Associate Professor, Department of Bio-Technology. He gave a talk on the Nanomachines. His presentation was informative for the students. Totally 38 persons attended this seminar.
Certificates were presented to the prize winners and all the participants.
