Knowledge Transfer Centre

Knowledge Transfer Centre

The Knowledge Transfer Centre (KTC) serves as a collaborative hub where faculty members, students and alumni of the department come together to develop and deliver knowledge-driven solutions and services that address societal needs. The Centre fosters a dynamic environment of innovation and partnership, enabling the academic community to translate their expertise into impactful contributions beyond the classroom. Faculty members are encouraged to actively engage in consultancy assignments, provided these do not affect their regular academic responsibilities. Through the KTC, specialized expertise, infrastructure and facilities are made available to benefit both academia and industry, thereby strengthening the bridge between knowledge creation and its practical application.

Consultancy activities under the KTC not only enhance academic engagement but also provide students with valuable hands-on exposure to real- world challenges while generating financial returns for the institution, faculty and students. All consultancy projects are formally recognized and streamlined through the KTC, ensuring accountability and proper oversight via institutional accounts. With the approval of the Head of the Department, assignments are delegated to capable individuals or teams, ensuring quality outcomes and professional integrity. In recognition of his expertise and leadership, Dr. J. Arunkumar, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, has been nominated as the Coordinator of the Knowledge Transfer Centre, entrusted with the responsibility of guiding and facilitating its activities
