Having 19 years of Teaching Experience and 9 years of industrial experience in Automotive OEMs and Information Technology companies,  has bachelor and master degrees in Automotive Engineering and Ph.D in the field of Fiber Reinforced Plastics(FRP). He has served as PI for various funded projects and as consultant to various OEMs and software companies in the areas of modelling and simulation and noise control. Also acted as the resource person for SAE, Educational Technology companies and composite product manufacturing companies such as FRP Institute. He has  rich experience in Academics, Research and Administration.  Actively associated with various  FRP industries in the areas of pressure vessel design, underground storage tanks and pipes design.  Also developed software for the design of multilayer sound absorbers, curtains  and sound diffusers.

Has various International and national publications to his credit. Has patents in the areas of functionally graded noise control materials.  Served as BoS member for various Engineering Institutions . Developed the syllabus and curriculum for Anna University Coimbatore for B.E (Automobile Engineering)  Programme. As Head of the Department  developed  12 laboratories in the field of Automotive Engineering and Noise control.  In addition to this Dr.Subramanian. M has  significant contributions in developing syllabus and curriculum for AICTE undergraduate Automobile Engineering programmes.
