About The Department
The department of Information Technology was started in the year 1997 -1998 and has been offering B.Tech degree programme. From the year 2007- 2008 the department has been offering M.Tech and Ph.D programmes. Courses are taught by experienced  and highly qualified faculty using a hands-on, reality-based approach to education in which students apply what they learn in class to solve real-life problems. The faculty are specialized in various thrust areas of Information Technology like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IOT, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing and Mobile Computing. The programmes are designed to broaden and deepen students' knowledge of new and emerging technologies and  the application and integration of these technologies. Our B.Tech degree programme trains students to leverage insights from data and information technology to solve problems. Our curriculum provides the tools necessary to study, manage, and innovate the information systems around us. The Department of information Technology is fully equipped with the state of the art laboratories having the latest HP Servers and Nodes. The Department is having the latest licensed Softwares including Microsoft Campus Agreement for Campus Licenses. Our students excel in Curricular and Co-Curricular activities through inter and intra college technical symposiums, Workshops, Special lectures and Industrial Visits. The department is Wi Fi enabled for the benefit of student community and faculty members.

B.Tech. – Information Technology
B.Tech Information Technology
 The B.Tech. I.T degree course aims at producing Engineers who are well prepared for pursuing careers in a wide variety of Computer and Information technology related fields or to become Entrepreneurs. The Curriculum is designed with core courses which provide an in-depth knowledge of technology to ensure that students use different programming languages for problem-solving. The degree supports choice based curriculum through which students can choose subjects as electives to further focus on their fields of Interest.
B.Tech I.T (Specialisation in Cybersecurity)
The B.Tech .I.T degree course with specialisation in Cybersecurity is designed for students who want to seek a complete education in the area of cybersecurity. This degree provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to protecting systems, networks, data, software and devices from cyber-attacks using technologies. The core courses includes Computer Forensics, Ethical Hacking, Security Tools, Computer and Network security, Software security, Data and information security.

M.Tech I.T
The M.Tech I.T degree programme offers students with a bachelor's degree the opportunity to take their skills to the next level with advanced study. We teach students with basic analytic skills and a strong aptitude for programming, and logical reasoning. The final semester in the curriculum is dedicated to project phase in which the students implement their novel idea in the form of a project. Every student will exhibit his own idea with presentation and Implementation. Students will be trained to apply their knowledge in real life situations. Completion of this programme envisages better prospects of higher studies in India and abroad in addition to offer of employment to eligible students.
