IDEA LAB OVERVIEW
The AICTE-IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation, and Application) Laboratory at SPIHER is a central hub for innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning. Established under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) initiative, this lab fosters design thinking, Interdisciplinary collaboration, and practical skill development among students and faculty members.
Vision
To foster STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education through hands-on learning, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and product visualization among engineering students. The IDEA Lab aligns with the National Educational Policy (NEP) 2020, promoting critical thinking, design thinking, collaboration, and lifelong learning.
Mission
Encourage experiential learning by integrating Design Thinking, Prototyping, and problem-solving skills into the academic ecosystem.
Provide open access to advanced tools, equipment, and resources for students, faculty, startups, and industry collaborators.
Promote innovation and entrepreneurship through interdisciplinary projects addressing local and global challenges.
Facilitate industry-academia interaction to align learning with emerging technologies and market requirements.
Cultivate a culture of making and tinkering that nurtures creativity, curiosity, and teamwork.
