About Department of
Biotechnology
This programme comprises of 4 semesters. The programme consists of theory papers along with laboratory. Each semester has Institute core courses, program elective courses and Institute elective courses and the students are given freedom to choose their electives from the list of electives offered. Further the project work gives them access to handle sophisticated instruments that would be able to conduct high-quality research in their future endeavors. Research Project and Internship in the curriculum helps to gain hands-on research experience for the students apart from improving practical skills for employability.

Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology / Botany / Plant Biology & Biotechnology / Zoology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Agriculture Sciences / Life Sciences are eligible for admission to M.Sc. Biotechnology
