Cadet Rohith R (TN2025SDIA6930975) of B.Tech Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, St. Peter’s Institute of Higher Education and Research (SPIHER), representing 1 TN Signal Company, NCC, successfully completed the Basic Mountaineering and Winter Sports Camp at Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, from 23 June to 2 July 2026. As the first-ever SPIHER NCC cadet to participate in this prestigious national-level mountaineering camp, he achieved a significant milestone for the institution. The rigorous training included rock climbing, mountain climbing, trekking, river crossing, zip lining, jumar climbing, rappelling, rope management, knot techniques, tent pitching, survival training, and mountaineering theory, fostering exceptional physical endurance, courage, resilience, discipline, leadership, teamwork, and adventure spirit. The camp also provided valuable exposure through interaction with NCC cadets from across India, promoting national integration and cultural exchange. The successful completion of this prestigious camp is a remarkable personal achievement for the cadet and a proud moment in the history of SPIHER NCC, reflecting the institution’s growing excellence in adventure training and national-level NCC participation.
